I would like to feel that my job is truly benefiting others.
I can genuinely feel that my job is benefiting others.
I am a salesperson for machine elements such as ball screws and ball screw actuators in Japan. Mostly, I deal with promotion of our products through the distributors and specification meetings with design engineers from equipment manufacturers and others. As I work, I often share information about design specifications, delivery dates and quantities with those in Engineering and Production Control. Also, I always strive to suggest products that meet our clients' needs and support them as a salesperson. The products we deliver to our clients are incorporated into machines, and the machines help people's lifestyles improve. As a salesperson at KURODA, I can be directly involved in the process, which I regard as the true appeal of my job.
When we cooperate as a team and challenge new things.
I feel motivated when I plan and work to secure new orders. If we start to support our clients from their product development phase, it takes a couple of years to launch mass production after going through their component development and pilot production phase. Sometimes, we can secure an order after taking over from a predecessor. We need to consider factors such as manufacturability in our plants and the price gap with our competitors when discussing and sharing information among us. We frequently coordinate schedules with our clients. I feel a sense of growth and deep satisfaction when those in Sales and Production cooperate as a team at KURODA, or when I challenge new things.
I did not have much industry knowledge or technical terms, so I struggled with my job.
Our products are rarely seen in our daily lives, and I joined KURODA without any production knowledge. I did not have much industry knowledge or technical terms, so I struggled with my job. However, I can work without concerns after I entered the company because KURODA provides a good environment for new employees to learn about our products through programs like new employee orientation and on-site factory training. Also, the atmosphere of the workplace is supportive and senior colleagues are willing to teach me things I don't know. I believe clarifying my questions and learning actively will improve my skills as a salesperson. I will learn diligently every day.
I found the company's encouraging environment and accepting atmosphere appealing.
I decided to join KURODA because of its encouraging environment and accepting atmosphere. I watched the company website when a recruitment agency for new graduates introduced the company to me. I sympathized with the corporate principle, "Challenge & Create" and felt that I could improve myself as a salesperson. Therefore, I applied to KURODA. During my job interviews, I was very appreciative of how the employees I met endeavored to understand me even in such a short time. After I joined our company, I still feel the cordial atmosphere. Moreover, I can be involved in significant work and feel fulfilled. The employee benefits are also good, so I think it was the right decision.
Reflect on your experiences and events that moved you.
I advise you to think of the kind of business worker you would like to be.
"What kind of professional would you like to be?" ー This is what I was actually asked during my job search as a student. If you get paid by working, you are required to be a professional. Reflect on your experiences and events that moved you. Think about what kind of jobs you would like to do, what kind of professional you would like to be. By adopting these aspirations as your primary criterion for job hunting, you will be able to find companies you truly want to join among countless options. I hope KURODA is among your preferred companies. I am looking forward to work with you.
