Magnet Resin Fixing Technology MAGPREX®
Contributes to the miniaturization of electric vehicle motors.
MAGPREX® (Patented Technology)
In rotating machinery, output is expressed as the product of torque and rotation speed (Output = Torque × Rotation Speed), with torque generally proportional to the size of the machine. Therefore, for the same output, increasing the rotation speed (high-speed operation) reduces the required torque, enabling a more compact motor design.
MAGPREX® is Kuroda’s proprietary technology that firmly secures magnets within the magnet holes of rotors using thermosetting epoxy resin, contributing to the downsizing and compact design of motors.
MENU
High-speed rotation possible
Magnets are securely fixed inside the magnet holes using thermosetting epoxy resin.
Excellent Rotational balance
As the amount of resin injected into each magnet hole can be precisely controlled, this ensures uniform resin filling, which improves balance during rotation.
In addition, the low injection pressure minimizes rotor deformation after molding.
High heat dissipation
The high thermal conductivity of the thermosetting epoxy resin improves heat dissipation.
Improved resin yield
By adopting a runner-less structure for injecting resin into the magnet holes, resin yield is improved and costs are reduced.
