Dust Prevention for Ball Screws
If dirt or foreign matter gets into the nut of a ball screw, it can cause abnormal wear that progresses quickly, or damage to the screw shaft and nut thread groove surface or the steel balls, which can interfere with the circulation of the steel balls and cause the screw to become inoperable.
If you think that dirt or foreign matter may get into the ball screw, install a dustproof device such as a bellows or cover.

Even if there are no particular foreign objects, as a preventative measure, dust prevention measures can be taken by attaching dust prevention devices to both ends of the nut.
However, since the dust prevention effect cannot be expected to be as high as that of bellows or covers, it is recommended to use it in combination with other dust prevention devices.
