In the incoming inspection of a new thread ring gauge, is it defective if the fit inspection screw plug gauge that we have does not fit?
Fit inspection thread plug gauges also have manufacturing tolerances, and some that are within the tolerances will fit into thread ring gauges and some will not.
Normally, we use fit inspection thread plug gauges that we own and manage, so this is not a defect.
If you are using a fit inspection thread plug gauge that you own for incoming inspection, please use it with full understanding, or you will need to lend the fit inspection thread plug gauge to us before manufacturing the thread ring gauge.
